Nihon Kai Japanese Restaurant

To celebrate Mother's Day, we chose to have dinner at Nihon Kai located at Off Old Klang Road.
I have been here few times with colleagues, friends and my bii as well.
Now it is turn to enjoy it with my family.

Normally customers will make reservation to avoid waiting up to 1 hour for seats.
Unfortunately we decided late and unable to book it.
So we decided to tried our luck whether can have a table with walk-in.
Luckily we got it because we arrived early around 5.50pm.
After 10 minutes, it is crowded and more than 15 people are waiting outside to be served.

First thing after sitting down, of course it is open the menu and recommend the delicious and suitable food to my lovely family members. *They are my pretty mummy, my kindness grandma and my stylish sister cum driver.*
To have fully enjoyment, we ordered whatever we feel like to have and below is what we ordered.

Potato Salad - add the lemon juice and make it taste less greasiness
Itako & Kurage - sour taste jelly fish and chewy small octopus would be a good choice as appetizer for Japanese meal
Tamago Sushi - maintaining high quality..
Salmon Shioyaki - A set come with appetizer (miso soup, sour pickles & sesame macaroni), main course (steamed rice & salty grilled salmon fillet), dessert (chawanmushi). Sorry that no comment on due to I only consume raw salmon, not cooked salmon.
Torikatsunabe Sashimi Set - A set come with appetizer (miso soup, sour pickles & sesame macaroni), main course (steamed rice, soy sauce chicken cutlets with scrambled egg & salmon sashimi), dessert (chawanmushi). It is always my choice.
Soba with Ebi Tempura - the soup is disappointing me because the taste is too mild like eating soba with plain water, but thumbs for the ebi tempura.
Vegetable Tempura - several vegetables served includes carrot, brinjal, sweet potato, vege sushi row & thin noodles. My unique way to eat it is starts from squeezing lemon juice into the soy sauce then dip the tempura into it and dip again into the wasabi sauce. Fresh (lemon juice) ! Soft (soy sauce soften it) ! Spicy (soy sauce bring out the wasabi taste stronger) !
Soft Shell Crab Karaage - what to say? Of course it is delicious, but the sauce is too salty to me.
